Daniel's POV

The sun was setting, signaling the end of the day. I sat on a bench, patiently waiting for her to finish changing clothes.

I glanced at the water, wondering why my vision seemed to be spinning. I struggled to breathe, feeling the familiar pang of thirst creeping up on me again.

The crowd around me was bustling, and I could practically smell the blood coursing through their veins. Why is Gabs taking too long? I wanted to leave before anything happened to me.

I felt powerless to control my thirst at that moment.

"Senpai?" I turned to her, forcing a smile. She came and stood beside me, gently touching my forehead.

"You seem unusually pale. Are you okay?" I nodded and invited her to return to the car.

"Let's go home," I said, and she quickly followed. She supported me as we walked, and my vision was spinning.

Why do I tire so easily now? Is my heart still lacking the blood it needs to heal?
