Chapter 69
Daniel's POV
He gazed at the man kneeling in front of him, and I could see his clenched fist trembling, but I couldn't find any trace of emotion on his face.
It seemed like he had nothing else to say, and even I didn't know how to act in this situation.
"Stand up there." We both looked at Gabs, who was now glaring fiercely at him.
He quickly obeyed Gabs' command and stood in front of him, and I was suddenly startled when Gabs kicked the man in his groin without warning.
"Argh!" he gasped in pain, contorting while holding his groin, his legs folding under him, but it didn't change Gabs' expression.
"I said stand up," he said softly, and the man struggled to stand in front of him.
"That's not enough." And he kicked the man's groin again forcefully, I couldn't tell if it was a kick or a stomp due to its sheer force.
I couldn't bear to look at the man anymore because I felt that my own dignity was being hurt by what Gabs was doing.
