Chapter 70

Daniel's POV

She peacefully sleeping beside me, utterly exhausted from our night together. I gaze at her face, blissfully asleep as if nothing had happened between us.

Her face is incredibly simple, with a gentle and innocent look. Her eyes are remarkably long-lashed, and her skin is as white as snow. Until now, I still can't believe that this woman is my girlfriend.

"Oh, Gabs, you're so adorable," I whisper, gently brushing aside a few strands of hair that cover her face. I consider leaning in for a kiss but realize it would be even more delightful when she wakes up, so I let her continue her peaceful sleep.

Well, I suppose any woman who spends the night with me would inevitably tire herself out. Ahem, that's right, I'm Daniel Lockhart, exceptionally skilled in such matters. Almost everyone dreams of being with me at night and serving me.

But of course, I would devote my heart and body solely to this woman.
