Chapter 39. Meet Clara

"Oh Yes," Stone answered. "Clara is alive!" Stone continued.

"How did you know her?" Jack queried.

Stone smiled away, "She's my friend," he said.

 "Is she your girlfriend or your friend?" Jack questioned specifically as his face saddened with a look of jealousy.

"What difference does it make?" Stone answered.

The Sheriff whispers to Jack, “Stop being jealous.” Turning his gaze to Stone, the Sheriff said to him, “Take us to her. I bet we have a lot of questions for her,” the Sheriff added as he picked his revolver from the woman who was shot by Stone.

“You won’t be needing that,” Stone said to the Sheriff as he points at the Sheriff’s revolver.

“You must kill me to take it off my dead body,” the Sheriff replied. “Lead the way please,” the Sheriff said to Stone, unwillingly to drop his weapon. He have seen a lot of shit that would make a grown man cry. He chose to protect himself rather than letting his guard down.
