As Stanley had hired a bodyguard to accompany Maxine and Heather to school, he did not have any concerns about their well-being as he dropped them off there. He was at a loss for ideas of what Maureen could achieve at this point. He couldn’t be certain of the thoughts that were going through her head, especially those that may put his family in danger. He could not continue to put himself in danger.
Stanley found it hard to comprehend that Maureen had become so different. She changed into a different person and turned bad in his eyes as a result of this transformation. He was at a loss to understand why his ex-wife would suddenly alter after they were divorced. She was the first one to depart, and she did so because she want some space from them. And now that he and his daughter were happy, now that they had already accepted the fact that she wouldn’t come back into their lives anymore, she would go back as if nothing had happened and would cause difficulties.
