Chapter 102. Brother’s Girl

Lea's POV

I saw Jake drop his cup and scurry towards me, shoving Phill and Mercy on their sides as he did.

He picked me up without any effort and took me towards the bench. “Lea, when did you wake up? Why didn’t you call me? Why did you come down all alone?”

He was checking me up and down as if looking for any injuries but I was fine. Physically I was fine. A little weak but I had no injuries. It was my heart that was in shock.

“I didn’t know I had my phone. When I woke up I saw nobody. I needed to see Kai so I ran down. I am fine. You don’t need to worry about me.” I turned to Phill. “Tell me what happened to my baby. When will he wake up?”

“It might take a while, Lea. The little guy went through a lot. Let his body heal itself.” He looked a little drained. “He will be fine, Lea. He has to!”

Mercy pressed my arms and I fell back in Jake’s arm. He didn’t say anything but he wrapped his arms around me and that was all that I needed
