Chapter 107. Comfort
Lea’s POV
"It’s a relief. I will be able to monitor the two of you while I recover."
He moved away from the spot where he was sitting to let me have a better look at my son.
He looked smaller than the last time I saw him. His eyes were shut close but I could see his heart heaving. My poor little baby. He really was a fighter. He had been fighting even before he had been born. He went through so much... way too much and despite everything I could not hold him, comfort him. My tears were falling as naturally as my breathing at this point.
I could feel Phill’s finger slip under mine as he held my hand. I was shaking. “He keeps telling me he wants to be a doctor when he grows up...” I mumbled without realizing what I was saying. “Guess, he is getting all the exposure he needs. The hospital seems to be haunting him ever since he was conceived.”
“The hospital isn’t such a bad place, now, is it?” I turned back to see Phill grinning at my remar
