Her home office mirrored her corporate one. Clean desk. Organized shelves. Decorative awards. A locked drawer.

I forced it open carefully.

Inside were charity event contracts, foundation papers, and donation lists.

I searched behind the shelves. Under the desk. Inside decorative boxes.

Nothing.

My phone vibrated softly in my pocket.
