Chapter 13

As Felix and I walked hand in hand, I felt a nagging sense of worry at the back of my mind. I had heard rumors about Xefora's disbandment, and I couldn't help but ask Felix about it.

"Felix, I heard about the rumors," I said, my voice tinged with concern. "Is it true that Xefora is going to disband?"

Felix let out a heavy sigh. "I'm afraid it is, Iris," he said, his voice laced with sadness. "My parents want me to focus on my studies and pursue medicine, and I just can't do both."

I felt a lump forming in my throat. Xefora had been such a big part of Felix's life, and I knew how much he loved being a part of the band. It broke my heart to see him so torn.

"I'm so sorry, Felix," I said softly, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Felix shook his head. "No, it's okay, Iris. I'll figure something out," he said, forcing a smile on his face. "Maybe I'll start a new band someday, who knows?"
