Chapter 27

Reina's pov

The lights suddenly turned on, and I saw the blood on the floor. There were some men in suits lying lifeless on the ground, and I grabbed Mario's arm in fear.

"What is going on?" I asked Mario, but he was just as perplexed as I was.

"Reina" Mario whispered my name and said, "We need to get out of here. This party is no longer safe."

I nodded, my heart pounding in my chest. I didn't know what had happened, but I knew we had to get out of there as fast as we could.

We made our way towards the exit, trying to stay as quiet as possible. I could hear the sounds of people panicking and shouting, and I knew we had to get away from there.

As we stepped outside, I froze instantly. I saw Garret, or rather, Rojas Cervantes, dressed up fancy as he entered a limousine. Shock rushed through my body, and tears welled up in my eyes. I muttered his name, "Garrett," recalling our beautiful six months together. But it was all a lie. He had fooled me.
