Rock Hard. Book 3. Chapter 1
Things happened in a blur. Dallas wasn’t sure how she made it out of the old sugar mill without breaking her neck over the clutter and debris littering the dirty floor. She climbed out the window she’d crawled through and when she turned she found Zane and Cole on her heels.
“We’ll drive you,” Cole said already headed to his truck that was parked in the alley.
“My truck is just down there. I can drive,” she said.
Zane grabbed her arm. “You don’t need to drive. You’re too upset. Let us take you.” There was a pleading tone in his voice and she hesitated.
“Okay,” she finally relented. The three of them climbed in the truck. Cole jammed the keys in the ignition and the truck roared to life. Slowly they backed down the alley until they came out on one of the back streets.
