Chapter 12
"Isn't it your birthday coming up?" Sofia inquired. "We have to do something."
"Yes. "In about two weeks," I predicted. "I'm not sure what we're going to do."
"I'll talk to Alpha and see if he has any ideas," Sofia explained.
"You should simply throw a party." "I'm sure you can throw a great party here," Scott said, looking around.
There was a game shelf, a bar, a pool table, an air hockey table, and video game systems.
"There's an idea," I suggested. "Normally, I throw huge birthday parties, but it's not fun."
"What do you mean, it's not any fun?" Scott inquired.
"It's mostly filled with my parents' friends," I grumbled. "There aren't many kids my age." Except, of course, for Sophia. They're just a way for my parents to brag."
"Sounds like you have a complicated relationship with your parents," Scott noted.
"Kind of, but nothing that I can't handle," I replied.
After a few rounds of pool, Scott and Brett left. Scott kissed
