"I did. "The night before we arrived here," I admitted. "She said I had a friend who would be waiting for me here."
They both looked surprised.
"And you think it was real?" Rachel inquired.
"It felt genuine. "I even awoke with dirt on my feet," I explained.
"Tell us everything," Sofia demanded.
They looked at me with wide eyes and open mouths after I finished. I wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing, but I was glad they didn't react like my mother.
"That's incredible, Jacky. The Moon Goddess has spoken to people throughout history, but she usually uses oracles. "There hasn't been an oracle in two hundred years," Rachel exclaimed, her eyes wide. "Do you think you are one?"
"No. "She specifically stated that I was a test subject," I explained.
"We really shouldn't be discussing this. People will think you're insane," Sofia wrung her hands.
