I had a peek at Viktor. He shifted on the bed.

"Did your father just threaten you," he inquired.

"That's how it sounded to me," I said.

"I guess the Moon Goddess was right," he concluded. "We'll have to do this on our own." "Are we skipping the library?"

"I figured I'd leave Sofia to deal with it," I explained. "She already has Brett."

"Do you think Brett is her friend?" He inquired.

"I have no idea," I said.

"I think we need more examples of rogues thriving in a new pack before we do this," he added. "We can't rely solely on Byron; they'll want to hear more stories."

"How are we supposed to go about doing that?" I wondered.

"I'll go talk to Byron, and hopefully we'll have something by tonight," he explained.
