Sophia's POV

Sir Payne was smiling cunningly, and he was oddly excited about something. That is not good; the last time he was smiling back when we were juniors was when he gave us a task that was absolutely hard to pass! No one from Shadow class got to pass; only Carter and Ben did, which only adds to my growing annoyance with him.

"Let's make today a fun one!" Sir Payne gleamed and seemed to be mind-linking Miss Helen when she shrieked, "No way! Are you crazy, Payne? They are still eighteen to twenty-year-olds! They are literally just students!" 

Hearing Miss Helen protest like that makes all of us nervous, including the so-called elite Moonlight class.
