Chapter 48. You’re Mine

Sheila and Davies were given a house, she wanted to protest but Jonathan stopped her, “Don’t, he needs you, he’s been through a lot. I know he’s not perfect but one thing I know about Davies is that he’s caring and loyal, a bit easy to manipulate, but give him time he’ll change, he’ll learn and pick up habits from you that were never even there in the first place.” Jonathan advised Sheila.

Sheila looked at Davies, feeling a bit awkward and sorry for him, this wasn’t how things were meant to go, she was glad when he saved her, she never expected it. Part of her wanted to loathe him for telling her to stay away from him and the other part wanted to comfort him and tell him everything was alright.

No child deserves to be betrayed by their father, kept in the dark, and now lose the only parent they trust and rely on, to be there when they need them.

Sheila nodded in understanding, she patted Jonathan’s hand, “I get it.” She smiled at him weakly.
