Chapter 54. The Truth
She heard the wheels of a wagon crossing the bridge, the hard grinding sound it made against thick wood, she quickly ran for cover at the nearest building that looked abandoned.
She hid behind the shrubs, making sure to mask herself well with the darkness, the wagon came close to the building Queen was in, and the rider wore a hood, covering half of their face.
She remembered the words from before, the person was a woman, which helped narrow down her search, but then again what kind of woman was she looking for other than Sandra?
Queen was a bit restless, but there was nothing more she could do but stay still and wait. She hoped it wouldn’t take so long, she needed to get back home.
She began to wonder how William was coping, she prayed nothing else happened in her absence, she missed home, she missed Esmee’s cooking and most of all she missed Sheila and her also her mother, Queen needed to wrap things up faster, things were already dragging.
