Chapter 49. Fulfilled Promise

“Hey wake up sleepy head,” William whispered to Queen. She swatted him away, turning. Opening her eyes, she goes back to bed mumbling.

William chuckled, he dragged her out of bed and dropped her under the shower, “get ready.” He left Queen to go check on Sandra.

He went downstairs, he got there to see Sandra’s chest rising up and down slowly, they needed to find a solution, quick and fast. He checked her pulse rate to be sure her heartbeat was normal.

It was slow, she was dying slowly, if she didn’t get treated the day after tomorrow, she was going to die for good. They could only do the bare minimum treatment for her, hospitals were demolished during the storm, and even the rare basic first aid treatment they had wouldn’t have done anything for Sandra.

William sighed, they needed to find a solution quickly and fast without killing her. He was going to fulfill the promise he made.

He tucked Sandra in, adjusting the blanket, and the curtains and just mak
