Chapter 52. The Past (3)
She took the rubber band on her wrist and tied her hair up into a messy bun, just so she could fit in. She got past the door and made it to the ballroom, “I can’t believe I have to attend these even in someone else’s head. How old is Sandra.” She muttered, taking a glass of wine from a waiter that passed by.
Queen eased her way into the ballroom, making sure to use the back corners of the room, so no one would notice her. usually in those days, when a woman stood at the back of the room, she was tagged as a wallflower and her dance didn’t get filled.
She looked round for Sandra, but couldn’t find her anywhere. Queen was starting to think she had gotten lost in Sandra’s head. Unknown to Queen, someone had spotted her from afar. The little stones from her gown that sparkled under the light, got someone’s attention.
