Chapter 7. Something Different

Two days have passed since my run-in with Liam in the woods.
I keep a wary eye out for him while navigating through my classes on campus, but strangely, I see no sign of him. Since that night, I haven’t even sensed a whisper of his scent, which only sends my thoughts spiraling into a deeper overdrive.
I would find it hard to believe he’s the one avoiding me. After all, his threats weren’t merely bluffs disguised as such. The hatred in his tone told me everything I needed to know. Why I’ve become the target of such wrath is still beyond me, but it isn’t my place to question these things.
Not when I have more important things to do.
