Being back in Redmoon sets my teeth on edge.
It’s one thing to face these people as enemies, to fight them head-on, knowing exactly where I stand. But standing inside their stronghold, sleeping under their roof—it’s too much.
These are the same people who stood by while Cyrus slaughtered entire packs, my family included. The same shifters who followed him blindly, who would have done the same to Ainsley if he had ordered it.
I don’t trust them. I don’t trust this place. But what other choice do we have?
