Chapter 32

After dinner we headed to the lounge room. We got situated on one of the sofas, sitting next to each other. Andrew prepared some tea for us as we waited for Sofia to return with Marvin.

 “Are you anxious?” Nocturne asked me as she drank her tea.

 “I am.” I admitted.

 “I can understand your anxiety. I hope that I am wrong in my theory, and you are truly just an oddity among mortals.” She smiled softly. I nodded in agreement. If I were the descendant of the divine, I wondered how that would impact my life. Did that mean I was an immortal being? How would this affect my contract with Nocturne? Can two immortals have a contract? Was I also bound to the same rules as Nocturne when dealing with the impending war? I had too many questions to answer and it started to make my head hurt.

 “Good evening, my lady.” Sofia came into the lounge room with Marvin right behind her. “I have brought the headmaster as you requested.” She bowed.
