Chapter 38

I awoke in the middle of the night when a blinding light filled the bedroom. I squinted and rubbed my eyes as I sat up in the bed. I noticed Nocturne was not bothered by the blinding light and remained asleep. It took several moments for my eyes to adjust to the light, and when they finally did, I could see the figure of a woman. She had alabaster skin, long silver hair and gray eyes. I froze as I realized she was floating directly above me. I instinctually pulled up the comforter to cover my naked frame as she stared at me. I could see her mouth moving, but heard no words being spoken.

 “What?” I asked as I started to hear a very muffled voice. It started getting louder until I finally heard what she was saying.
