Chapter 36

“I will make sure to send word to my friend who is a dance teacher.” Golda said as we all walked to the front double doors of the estate.

“I cannot say that I am excited to meet her.” Nocturne confessed. Golda chuckled lightly.

“You will do fine, my lady. She will whip you into shape in no time.”

“I am glad you have hope.” Nocturne commented. “Anyway, I will send the paperwork to the king in regard to proving Michael is your late husband’s son. He will send you the copies that have his royal stamp on them himself.” She said.

“I thank you, duchess.” Golda and Michael bowed to her. We waved to them as they walked out and headed to their carriage. Once they were gone, I turned to Nocturne.

“How can you not know how to dance?” I asked. She scowled at me.

“My skills are honed for a battlefield, not a party.”

“One can argue that a party is a social battlefield.” I commented. She did not address me.
