Eden couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw Anastasia holding a child in her arms. She’s holding a package and a youngster who appears to be between the ages of two and three.
She appeared to have just returned from the supermarket with the identical toddler in her arms. Anastasia regained her composure, and it was time to depart without looking back.
She had taken a quiet exit, as is customary for intelligent people in society, to avoid running into familiar faces, but she had not expected to run into her son Mahlon’s father and his partner on the other side.
She had to walk quickly without looking back since she knew a nobleman like Mahlon couldn’t be chasing after a woman with a child in her hand, but she hoped he would be willing to abandon the other lady and follow her.
