Mahlon led Anastasia to the couch, where they heated it exactly like they had the last time they were at the bar.
Mahlon had a lot to say and kept glancing at her as if trying to read her mind, but it was as if she was in her world.
You can’t tell what she’s thinking. Anastasia stared at Mahlon, who appeared to have a lot of questions for her but didn’t say anything.
They went to the penthouse to freshen up because Mahlon had a meeting in two hours to discuss how to expand their business. He didn’t have time to interrogate her because she is his girl, and he doesn’t want Gilbert chasing her down every time they disagree.
He wanted to ask her why she ran away without saying anything to him, but he knew it would be risky.
