Chapter 32

“Should I escort you inside?” Mahlon asked when they were outside of the apartments.

“No! “ “It’s okay, thanks.” She replied and got out of the car.

Mahlon stayed in his car and watched her enter the apartment. He left after a few minutes.

As soon as Anastasia enters the apartment, little Blake stops crying.

She lifted him and noticed he was running a fever; she needed to rush him to the hospital because he wasn’t looking too good and she needed to have him examined.

On her way to the hospital, she calls Alice in advance so she can find her outside.

Alice was working the night shift, and she had just arrived when she received a call from Anastasia. The apartments are not far from the hospital, so it only took a few minutes for her to reach the hospital.

Alice had one of her coworkers do a check-up on Little Blake, who seemed to be touching his head like he was showing them where the problem was.

He had fallen and hit his head somewhere
