Chapter 33
A man stood outside, staring at the elderly man through Wesley Brown’s bedroom window, and he wanted to help him move.
He’s been observing him for 28 years, going to the elderly man’s house once a week to watch him through the window.
Something is wrong, but he can’t figure out what it is with the old man, who appears to be unable to lift his legs.
He chooses to make a phone call and leaves before anyone spots him again, as he did 15 years earlier.
He had a few things to do before morning, one of which was to pick up the toy he had requested from the famous automobile family for his grandson, whom he had promised a car when he saw him last time at the apartment.
He waits for his driver, whom he had dispatched to fetch the car for him, by the side of the road, his hands in his pockets.
The old driver arrives at the agreed-upon location five minutes later.
