Chapter 28. Your Love, My Weakness

‘Don’t worry I’ll protect you, I promise.’

Adam was only thinking of Mariah and the promise he made her. He was furious, how did this all happen and why wasn’t he able to stop any of this.

With a dizzy head due to the injury, Adam balanced himself on his feet again. He went out to see if Ivan was still here but he had already left and with Mariah which made him go crazy.

One of the guards noticed Adam and pointed his gun at him.

“Stay right there or I’ll shoot you,” the guard said while aiming his gun.

Adam wasn’t threatened by it, he kept taking steps towards him without a single speck of fear in his eyes. Blood was trickling down Adam’s neck but he didn’t care.

“Shoot me! Shoot me if you dare,” Adam screamed at him.

When the guard saw that Adam wasn’t going to stop, he shot a bullet towards the ceiling but as he was about to point it towards Adam again, Adam punched him and snatched his gun.
