Chapter 29. Fear of the Unknown

Adam was sitting in his study after washing himself up and getting rid of all the bloodied clothes. He was thinking of everything that went wrong and how did it all happen. Every moment spent with Mariah was playing in his head.

The day Mariah found him and saved his life, when they met at Keith’s house and how frightened Mariah was that day, her first night at Adam’s mansion. Adam realized how much he had hurt Mariah in the past.

Adam threatened Mariah, forced her to stay at his mansion and doubted her intentions even though she was the one who saved his life and if it wasn’t for her, he wouldn’t be alive today.
