Chapter 8
The next day.
It was just a few hours before the first operation of their new investment so Vic, Cain and the rest of the club members had voted and decided over a meeting that they should pay Ryan the amount she wanted to get her protection.
Cain and Vic walked up to the house she was staying at and rang the bell uninvited. No response came so Vic rang it again, impatient. Ryan was finishing up on some paperwork involving her transfer when she heard her bell.
She stopped and sighed, getting out of the chair in her little study. She was almost at the door when she remembered she wasn’t expecting anyone.
“Shit,” She murmured and returned to her study for a gun. She thought the politicians she laundered for had finally decided to get rid of her. It made sense to her that they would send her to a town without much name so they could easily kill her off and cover it up.
