Chapter 11
When Cain got back to their bar, he met Jay outside, leaning against his bike and drinking a beer. He parked near him but didn’t get down from his bike.
“All done?” He asked and Jay nodded.
“I’m the only one here, we finished some hours ago. The design girl came by to collect something she forgot in one of the boxes. I thought you were with her?”
Cain sighed and scratched his hair, messing it up a little. “I was…” He just trailed. “But you spoke to her right, for tomorrow?”
“Oh yeah, she was asking for a key to the place, in case they came by and I wasn’t around again…” Jay let out a chortle as he spoke. “She’s crazy to think I’d just let her have a key to the place.”
“You should have just given her a key. We don’t want her crouching out here again when she comes by with her team tomorrow morning. Besides the place is empty…”
“Empty? You seem to have forgotten how much is in those walls.” Jay whispered.
