Chapter 15
“You’re Liana Reeves?” He got up, dusting himself off of sawdust.
“Mmm,” Liana answered almost unwillingly.
“Well, this is for you.” He held it out to her and turned his head, wondering what his colleague was doing. His partner, with shaky hands under Jay’s stare walked forward with the roses.
“And this too, ma’am.” They both smiled.
Liana forced a smile back while taking it from them so they could leave. “Please tell whoever sent this that I’m not interested.” She told them despite knowing fully well who it was.
“Well, ma’am, we don’t know who sent it. You see, I work at the jewelry store where this is from and I’m only here because no one else was willing to come do the delivery once they knew the address. But hey, my manager increased the pay so I’m here with this other flower guy who I’ve never met till today, so you just have to sign these two separate pads…” He stopped and searched himself for a pen.
