Chapter 14
She swallowed and picked up a drill gun to appear busy when they walked in. It worked. The seven men walked in and only one looked her way. She turned just when he had stopped to look at her.
It was the prospect from her first meeting with them. He smiled to greet her and she smiled back. She wondered what they were gathering at the bar for.
One of her colleagues walked in. It was Miguel, the only man on their team. “Oh thank god, you’re here already. I was actually just praying there was one of us already here. I fear coming in too early and being alone with THESE GUYS…” The man whispered the last two words to her.
“Well, they’re not really as scary as they look…”
