Chapter 44. Homecoming
“Are you really about to cry?” He asked me.
I kept quiet still hurt by his words, they were true but he didn’t have to say them, he didn’t have to be so blunt.
“Come on Mei, grow up, this is the real world and this is how it works. The real world isn’t your mansion where you are overprotected by your parents and in the real world, the world doesn’t revolve around you, not everyone cares,” he added.
I stared at him and more tears rolled down my face. I tapped the emergency button and ripped out the cannula tube from my hand.
“Oww,” I screamed in pain, I didn’t think that through and I didn’t think about how much it was going to hurt.
“Mei,” Min Jun called out and rushed to my side but I wouldn’t let him touch me or my bleeding hand. Nurses rushed into the room and looked so confused.
One of them ran to me and started attending to my wounds while another went to get a doctor.
“What happened?” she asked while trying to control the blood.
