Cara’s POV

My plan was progressing smoothly, and I felt happy. I had Liam where I wanted him, and it was only a matter of time before he threw his wife out of this house.

I lay down on the bed we had both used for sex. I still couldn’t believe his wife didn’t know I was in this house all alone.

As I went to my message box, I picked up my phone and texted him.

Me: Hey Liam, come over.

About a minute later, he texted back.

Liam: I’m sorry, but I can’t right now.

Me: It’s really hard, but I want you badly. Don’t you want me anymore?

Liam: Listen, Cara. I know we have been having this conversation for a while now, but...

Me: But what? You no longer want me?

Liam: No, it’s not like that, it’s just my wife.

Me: What makes you think your wife is controlling you now? You are a prince of vampires, aren’t you?

It took a minute again before he texted back.

Liam: I’ll be there in a minute.

I ended the cha
