Lizzy’s POV

As I stood there in the bathroom, I couldn’t help but feel conflicted. On one hand, I wanted to believe Liam’s words and give him another chance. But on the other hand, I couldn’t forget the fear and pain he had caused me.

I looked at myself in the mirror and saw the dark circles under my eyes and the tear stains on my cheeks. I knew I had to make a decision soon, but I didn’t know what to do.

After a few minutes, I opened the bathroom door and cautiously walked back to the bed. I saw that Liam had left a tray of food for me, but I didn’t feel like eating.

Instead, I sat on the bed and pulled out my phone. I scrolled through my contacts until I found Mira’s number. I hesitated for a moment before pressing the call button.

“Hello?” Mira answered after a few rings.

“Mira, it’s Lizzy,” I said, my voice cracking.

“Lizzy! Oh, my God, I’ve been so worried about you. What’s going on? Are you okay?” Mira asked, her voice full of c
