Liam’s POV

I had been avoiding Lizzy for days, and she wasn’t even staying at home most of the time. I felt worried about all I had done, and I didn’t know my lust could lead me to this.

I sat by the fireside, remembering how happy Lizzy always felt whenever she sat close to the fire. I missed her, missing everything we did together.

I was lost in thought when a hand was placed around my shoulder. I looked up to see Cara’s face smiling at me.

“What happened, Liam? You look upset.” I stared back at her, wanting her to know what was happening.
