ETHAN

I woke up to find Olivia still sound asleep in my arms. Carefully I crawled out of bed, mindful not to disturb her, and getting ready for work.

Before leaving, I left a note beside her.

“The moment you see this, go downstairs and have your breakfast, and smile at how wonderful you were last night. I’ll try not to stay too long at the office, I’ll call Tia over to come keep you some company. You’re to see Dr. Adams today, I promise I’ll be at the next check-up. Love Ethan.”

As I wrote the note, a smile found its way to my lips. Walking back to Olivia’s sleeping figure, I leaned in to give her forehead a gentle kiss, causing her to stir in her sleep.

“Where to?” Olivia mumbled groggily.

“I’ll see you soon. I’ve got to be at the office. Now go back to sleep, my princess,” I whispered.

“Princess wants a kiss for the day,” she requested.

“Princess will get a big kiss for the day,” I replied, her lips meeting mine she fully awakened, h
