As the door clicked open, I turned my attention from the TV to him as he strolled in, shutting the door behind him.
“You’re home,” I greeted.
“And you’re still on that screen.” Walking up to me, he kissed my forehead, raised my shirt up and placed a gentle kiss on my belly.
“And my mangoes? And pineapples?” He didn’t bother looking up, his eyes fixed on my belly. “You promised Papii,” I whined.
“I know, and I’m sorry, I forgot. Tomorrow’s Sunday, we’ll go get it together, you have me all to yourself tomorrow. I promise,” he smiled, it was difficult to stay mad at him.
“Well, I didn’t make dinner,” I murmured softly,
“That’s great! You don’t have to worry about dinner tonight. You think you’re the only one in this family who knows how to cook, huh?” He asked with a playful smile on his face, “I’ll show you I’m good too, Mrs. Stone. Why don’t you go back to watching TV? And I’ll take care of it,” he said, kissing each cheek before getti
