We watched Beatrice walk towards us with much elegance, to where we stood. I could tell our eyes were twitching as a response to her face.
“What do we have here?” she asked, her arms crossed with her husband’s.
“Beatrice,” we both said in unison, acknowledging her presence before we let go of our hands.
“I have to help them set up the pastries, please go on without me,” I said to Jennifer, who nodded in response.
“I’ve got to help out with other things,” she said, holding onto her fiancé and walking away.
“Are you really going to ignore me?” Beatrice asked.
I bent down to help them set the table for the pastries.
“Miss Ria, don’t worry, we’ve got this,” Tobias said, pulling the table and letting it sit.
