After making sure that she was gone, I started cleaning out her room. The stains on the sheets showed she hardly left her room or cleaned up after herself, the trash can by the door was full, and dirty clothes were lying all over the place.
It was true, she was still the same—no cleaning habits and hating to fix things. I hated that.
After cleaning up, it was time to go to work.
Sulking and wishing she’d be an amazing sister wouldn’t bring her back. She had no remorse whatsoever for her actions, and I’m pretty sure she had plans to kill me. If she could keep something so big from me and hide under the pretense of being amnesiac, she could do worse.
I opened up the bakery. Tobias and Jacinth were ready on standby, and from their expressions I could tell they were worried about me.
