I felt relieved because the doctor had allowed Levi to leave the hospital as his condition had improved. Marcus would take him home, so I didn’t need to go to the hospital. I wanted to take a short nap before cleaning Levi’s apartment and going shopping, as I had seen his empty fridge. I wasn’t trying to be nosy, but Levi would have done the same if I were in the hospital. Marcus probably wouldn’t have had time to shop either. What I was doing was normal.
No matter how hard I tried to forget Levi’s delirium incident, I couldn’t. It followed me everywhere. Luckily, Marcus didn’t add to it by not repeatedly asking about the kind of relationship I had with Levi. At least I was home. I missed being at home. Or maybe not.
