Chapter 50. What the Hell Are You?

The water essence around him suddenly thickened, and Naina pulled up her protective shield knowing he was about to do something terrifying. With a low rumble from his throat, water coiled up from beneath him, and a serpent of liquid magic rose up, shimmering and hissing.

Naina’s eyes widened. She had never seen water magic like this before. It made her shield look like nothing.

It struck forward like a whip, aiming directly at her with precision. It hissed as it surged toward her, coiling in a zigzag motion that made it hard for her to predict its line of motion and get out of the way.

Before she could take a step back, the serpent slammed into her shield, shattering it into pieces before it collided with her with the force of a mountain.

Naina’s wolf groaned.

Her body was sent flying across the room like a ragdoll, slamming into the glass wall with a sickening collision, and her back shattered the glass and she was crumpled outside on the floor.
