Chapter 14. Another Room

Rose’s POV

Anastasia opened the door to one of the rooms on the second floor. She turned to look at me when she got in as though urging me to come in, too. I rolled my eyes and walked in. Then she shut the door.

“Rose.” She took my hands in hers. “I want to apologize for… for leaving you and going away…”

“Is this why you called me here?” I cut her. “I already made it clear that I don’t want to hear anything you have to say. You tricked me into following you here so that you can tell me this?” I wanted to pull my hands away from hers, but she held on firmly.

“How was I supposed to get you to listen to me without doing this? You’ve shut me out since you came here, and you’re acting like I killed someone!”

“We don’t need to have this conversation.”

“Then have you decided to keep treating me like this? Is this what you’re going to keep on doing? We’re sisters, for goodness sake!”
