Chapter 13. Back at Ana’s

Rose’s POV

I almost dozed off. I had been anticipating leaving Germany finally, and I had been daydreaming so much that I had almost fallen asleep. I used the back of my hands to wipe away any lingering sleep in my eyes and sat up. The limo was still moving, but slowly this time around.

What was happening?

I looked through the car window, and what I saw shocked me. I was back in the mansion.

“Why are we here?” I asked no one in particular, and the driver didn’t seem to think the question was directed at him, as he paid me no heed and simply swerved into the mansion, then turned off the engine. He came down from the car and opened the door so I could come down, too.

I stepped out of the car and took a look around. There was no one except the usual guards hanging around. Why was I here then?
