Chapter 15. Abandoned Box

Anastasia’s POV

Of course, Rose didn’t take the box from my hands. She stormed out of the room without looking back. One of the guards was standing close by. He was the one who was supposed to drive her to the airport, put her on one of the jets, and send her back.

I called him and gave him the box. I instructed him to make sure it went back with Rose. If she didn’t act stubborn, then she could be able to go back home seamlessly, and if she desired to never see me again, then…

I watched the guard walk away, and then William entered. He didn’t say anything to me yet. He took my hands in his, and we went back to the sitting room. Nathaniel was seated already. He hadn’t said anything since Rose arrived.

“I take it that didn’t go well?” William said and chuckled.

I lowered myself to the soft sofa and allowed him to hold me in his arms. He pressed a kiss to my head.

I hadn’t imagined that this entire situation with Rose would affect me so much.
