Lorenzo's pov

When I entered the car, I caught a whiff of her fruity scent with a mixture of the mild coconut scent emanating from her dark lustrous hair.

I wanted to drown in that scent. The joy of having her in my car caused me to smile more than usual. I would occasionally smile and then keep a straight face when I saw her shifting her gaze to me from my peripheral vision. i wondered what she thought of me, why she was suddenly cold as we were in proximity. That night, she seemed, no scratch . I knew she was comfortable around me. Now, she seemed stiff as though someone was watching her.

The soft melodious voice of Alessia Cara coming from my phone filled the car and it alerted me of a call. my eyes scanned towards the caller identity and i saw that it was a call from my mum. if i picked the call, she would likely ask me where i was and i didn’t want to lie but i had to.
