Chapter 19
I awoke this morning with a sense of determination and a commitment to leave the last behind. Crying and loosing out on my goals wouldn’t bring grandpa. For once, I believed what Amy had been telling me. He was resting in perfect peace in God’s bosom. I muttered it continuously to console myself and it worked to help get rid of sad thoughts off my mind.
I bade Amy goodbye and wished her good luck — because she about to commence her exam today—as she frantically walked through the door. She smiled and wave out of me when she was outside. I finished dressing up and took a once-over at myself in the mirror. I was dressed in blue jeans trouser and a polkadot black and white top and a pair of sneakers to compliment my entire look. My hair was a packed up in a bun, with few strands left out at the front. My edges were laid out too, I looked neat. My stunning reflection made me feel confident.
