Chapter 21
He slumped onto the leather chair as his phone rested too, his chubby face filling the entire screen.
“I’m so tired,” he complained, beads of sweat pearling atop his forehead as a testament to his fatigue.
“Me too,” I yawned. “I’m about to go to work.”
“I just called to check up on you.” He informed me. “You’ve started missing classes again and you’ve not been online.”
I sighed, adjusting my position from a sitting posture to a lying one. “It’s just two days,” I drawled.
“You said you were going to be consistent and you just missed two days. I had to check up on you to see if you are doing fine.”
“I’ve been feeling lazy and sick these days, plus I had to cover up for my colleague who’s been doing the same for me.” I explained.
“I think you should go to the hospital,” he suggested, observing me intently.
“Yeah, I know.” I agreed, grabbing my bottle of water from the floor. I drank a little quantity from the water and exhaled. Obviously,
